...And Other Gentle Cruelties gets another torturous run at DNA RAW Material!

…And Other Gentle Cruelties is my follow-up work to Things To Do With Your Mouth, in many ways as much its sequel as its bastard child or run-away sister.  It is structured as a very strict container of elements, inside of which there is impulsive and gratuitous abandon, but throughout the whole of which there is a sense of strange, if not ominous collectivity and order. It’s a family camper van vacation. It’s a schoolyard recess. It’s a nation of lost boys.  It's a socialist democratic experiment of the smallest order.

…And Other Gentle Cruelties has been born but is still in the ICU (beep!..beep!..beep!..).
First shown at SPRUNG, The Puffin Room's annual showcase for new works in dance and theatre, this babe in the beaker examines the arts of confession and concealment within the group.  Bodies and minds contort, shield, seduce, torture, to avoid what has long been unspoken and yet that Every-Body knows.
